In December of 2020, the Diablo Women's Chorale was chosen to be one of four East Bay choruses to perform a "virtual" concert - our first video concert! Northwest Polite Society, a Seattle-based integrated agency with a focus on street marketing, event production and social media, produced the online events that were sponsored by Persimmon Place, a Regency mall located in Dublin, CA. Our chorale created three video performances for our concert, broadcast via Facebook on December 6, 2020 and we had a blast working on them! Like other choral groups around the world in 2020, we were unable to perform public concerts because of restrictions imposed to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. But we weren't going to let those restrictions stop our 77-year history of singing, so we practiced in Zoom sessions, recorded our performances using digital audio and video technology, and shared our music in a completely new way. It was a wonderful experience, and we are grateful to Northwest Polite Society and Persimmon Place for giving us this amazing opportunity.
