LINDA STROVINK was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, in a large musical family: Her grandfathers were bandleaders, her mother was a singer, and two of her brothers still perform in public venues. Since childhood she has studied classical piano, but of course needs to practice more! Although DWC is Linda's first formal chorale, she has always enjoyed singing solo or with others. After retiring in Massachusetts from her corporate career, Linda has been able to spend more time volunteering in suicide prevention and applying her longtime experience as an equestrian to providing volunteer assistance in equine therapy for persons with special needs. Now living back in California with her husband Mark (a retired Berkeley professor), Linda also spends time on her hobbies: She's an avid golfer, as well as a recreational jeweler. She was thrilled to join DWC in the Spring 2021 and now is honored to serve on its Board.
