February 29, 2016 - 12:25pm -- Diablo Women's ... (not verified)

Diversity is making headlines from Hollywood to Washington DC.
Through the decades, music has bridged the diversity gap, bringing understanding to all ages, color and gender by creating songs with universal appeal about love, heartache growing pains, rebellion, humor and wit. The Diablo Women’s Chorale will bring a diverse song list by different artists with its “Royal” program, held at 2 pm Saturday, May 14, 2016, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 399 Wiget Lane, Walnut Creek. The regal program will feature songs by Aretha Franklin; Nat King Cole; the Disney princesses Mulan, Jasmine and Pocahontas; Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson; plus spiritual songwriter Moses Hogan. Audiences of all ages will also enjoy the clever --and now classic-- songs by Carole King, Lorde and Queen. Tickets will be available soon, so click here to sign up for the eNewsletter.
